Kaizer Chiefs have been forced into a substitution in their technical team during the FIFA international break.

Due to the premature departure of assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz, Nasreddine Nabi's technical team was minus another key member during the FIFA calendar week.

In order to take up another job in Morocco, Da Cruz resigned from his contract with the Chiefs.

Ilyes Mzoughi, Chiefs' goalkeeping coach, has also been absent during the FIFA calendar week.

Currently, Mzoughi is serving as goalkeeper coach for FFRIM (Fédération de Football de la Mauritanie).

Mauritania played two games during the just-ended September FIFA break, winning 1-0 against Botswana in Nouakchott, then losing 2-0 to Cape Verde in Praia in Group C.

In October, the Lions of Chinguetti will face Egypt twice, and Mzoughi will again travel.

During the break, the Chiefs recalled Aubrey Mathibe back to the first team.

His first appointment at the club was as goalkeeper coach for both the reserve and senior teams, and he has been back for the past two years.

Upon his return to Naturena, however, he became a permanent member of the senior team, working with Rory Minnaar and Rainer Dinkelacker.

During the past season, Mathibe took charge of Itumeleng Khune, Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen, and Karabo Molefe from the bench.

With the wave of changes at the club, the 44-year-old was relegated to academy goalkeeper coach and doubles up as DStv Diski Challenge coach.

The Rwandan keeper Fiacre Ntwari was also absent from the goalkeeping department during FIFA week.

Both draws against Libya and Nigeria were top marks for the 24-year-old.

In a goalless draw on Tuesday, Ntwari held Rwanda to a 1-1 draw in Libya.

As first choice, the towering keeper is expected to play.
