Côte d'Ivoire 0-2 Chad

With a 2-0 win over Chad, Cote d'Ivoire continued their strong start in Group G.

Elephants once again demonstrated their prowess at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé after defeating Zambia in their opener.

Côte d'Ivoire won the group after a stellar performance by Jean-Philippe Krasso and Oumar Diakité.

Malawi 3-1 Burkina Faso

In Bamako, Mali, Burkina Faso defeated Malawi 3-1 following a 1-1 draw with Senegal. After early pressure from Malawi, Lassina Traoré broke the deadlock with a low header.

Just minutes later, Shakhtar Donetsk's striker made it 2-0 with a dribble past the goalkeeper.

Malawi's Zeliat Nkhoma pulled a goal back late on. Burkina Faso now leads Group L, edging out Senegal on goal difference.

Mauritania 2-0 Cape Verde

In Group C, Cape Verde beat Mauritania 2-0 after losing to Egypt 3-0.

The Blue Sharks took the lead after Ryan Mendes converted a penalty after Benchimol was fouled by Houeibib.

Cape Verde claimed all three points in the second half, moving into second place in the group after Mendes doubled the lead.
