In his prime, Ricardo Nascimento played for clubs in Brazil, Portugal, and Romania, but he has memories of South Africa - especially Mamelodi Sundowns - that cannot be forgotten.
In five-and-a-half years with Sundowns, Nascimento won the Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout, MTN8, CAF Super Cup, CAF Champions League and five league titles.
A haul of eight trophies in just under six years, before a brief stint at Royal AM, which has remained unresolved with FIFA.
Nascimento tells KickOff that the highlight of his playing career was winning titles, most of which took place in South Africa.

"The CAF Super Cup victory over TP Mazembe and the championship that we won after Kaizer Chiefs had been ahead of us are my favorites," he says.

After a brief stint with his boyhood club Rio Branco Esporte Clube, the 37-year-old has retired from playing.
Despite his desire to become a scout, he wishes he had still been at Sundowns this season, as The Brazilians were heading to the Club World Cup.
Flamengo, Fluminense and Palmeiras have all already confirmed their participation, with a fourth club potentially joining them depending on what happens in the Copa Libertadores.
After playing at the 2016 Club World Cup, he says, "This is amazing, I wish I was still at Sundowns at this moment.".
I'm thinking of bringing more Brazilian players to the South African teams because there is still not much interest (from Brazilians in South African football).
I don't understand either (why Brazil isn't interested in the PSL).
The players might be afraid of disappearing from the football scene, but with Sundowns going to the World Cup, things will get better.
I'm considering taking some players to South Africa.
It might be good to be a scout to assist teams in taking more Brazilian players to South Africa," Nascimento suggests
