As the ongoing dispute between Royal AM and Samir Nurkovic continues, the KwaZulu-Natal outfit will find itself in the 'sin bin' once again.
After failing to reach an agreement on a settlement for the contract he signed after joining Royal AM from Kaizer Chiefs, Nurkovic filed a breach of contract complaint with FIFA.
It's finally here: Nabi's 'dish' at Chiefs
After FIFA ruled in Nurkovic's favor last year, and the club was subsequently placed under a three-window ban, Royal AM appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the player and FIFA.
May 13 was the date of the initial CAS hearing.
As a result, CAS extended their deadline for issuing their decision to September 13.
According to the latest information reaching this website, CAS has again communicated with all parties.
This website has been informed that the deadline for communicating the Arbitral Award to the parties has been extended until October 11, 2024.
The current window will close on September 20 with Royal AM still unable to sign any new players due to the FIFA ban.
Sundowns pending decisions
The transfer ban imposed on Royal AM in this case took effect on July 3, 2023.
