In the aftermath of Cameroon's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana had to be privately escorted by security officials.
The Indomitable Lions went unbeaten during this international break despite ongoing off-field turmoil in the Cameroon national team.
In their first AFCON 2025 qualifier, the west African giants beat Namibia 1-0 last week before drawing 0-0 with Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Due to Zimbabwe's lack of stadiums that meet the requirements of CAF and FIFA, the latter match was held in Uganda.
After the game ended goalless, Ugandan spectators seemed overly eager to interact with Onana after the game.
According to Ugandan journalist Clive Kyazze, the Red Devils shot-stopper is seen exiting the stadium in Kampala in a video, but he is prevented from leaving with the team bus like his colleagues due to a swarm of passionate supporters, who stop him from making a quiet exit.

After a difficult debut season at Old Trafford, Onana has been warned by former United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard that he needs to step up this season.

It's the job to handle that pressure, and if you can't, or won't, then it's not for you."
