After joining Kaizer Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns, Gaston Sirino will experience the true feeling of change on Saturday.
He is the only footballer in South Africa to win seven league titles in a row in his first seven years playing top-flight football.
Sundowns signed the 33-year-old in January 2018 and he has collected seven league winners' medals since then.
In addition to two Nedbank Cups, Telkom Knockout, MTN8 and an African Football League trophy, he has also won two Nedbank Cups with The Brazilians.
Sirino also won a league title with Club Bolivar in Bolivia before moving to Chloorkop, bringing his championship count for all nine years that Chiefs have been winning trophies to eight.
In May 2015, he was 24 years old and playing in Chile for Amakhosi.
It is hoped that the Uruguayan-South African's success will rub off positively in the dressing room, which has never experienced lifting silverware.
With the Soweto giants' huge fan base, Sirino will also experience the joy of being watched by bigger crowds than at Sundowns.
Chiefs begin their Betway Premiership campaign against Marumo Gallants on Saturday.
During training on Wednesday at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, Sirino was buzzing, giving the biggest hint that he will be in the squad for Saturday.
Adding to his 85 goal contributions (goals and assists) while wearing the Yellow and Blue colours is all he needs to do at the Glamour Boys.
In 41 appearances, he contributed 23 goals in the 2019/20 season.
