Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has opened up about his new role as senior academy coach.
After Amakhosi failed to improve from their struggles with the club since 2016, Zwane was demoted from the head coach role at the end of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.
Zwane's involvement in the Chiefs' junior ranks was somewhat ambiguous last season, but Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr clarified the former winger's duties recently.
His responsibilities include overseeing all age groups, ensuring adherence to the club's philosophy, and assisting with scouting.
During the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Legacy Cup on Saturday, Zwane was asked about his new role.
He expressed his commitment to exerting maximum effort to meet the expectations placed upon him. No matter what role he occupies, he remains thankful to be a part of such a prestigious club.
