TS Galaxy’s Bernard Parker is hopeful their 3-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in pre-season provides momentum for a tough start in 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign.

Puso Dithejane, Sphiwe Mahlangu and Thokozani Sibanyoni scored for Sead Ramovic's Galaxy in a behind-closed-doors match at FNB Stadium.

A year after finishing sixth in the league, just one point behind Sekhukhune United for a CAF Confederation Cup qualifying spot, the Rockets have lost several key players.

They sold Fiacre Ntwari, Lehlohonolo Mojela, and Pogiso Sanoka, three players who formed the spine of their squads, to Chiefs, Stellenbosch, and SuperSport United, respectively, continuing the trend of their top players going abroad.

The recent win was a friendly and when teams play friendlies, they work on different combinations, personnel, and things like that," Parker said.

In our preparatory match against Kaizer Chiefs, we exerted ourselves properly in terms of our intensity, our defensive principles, and our attacking movements.

It has been a great test for us against Kaizer Chiefs, so we need to maintain that mental level when we go on into the season. We have three very tough matches ahead of us, away from Richards Bay, then Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport.
