Former Al Ahly director of football Sayed Abdelhafiz praised Pitso Mosimane and said he enjoyed working with the South African.
During his time with Al Ahly between 2020 and 2022, Mosimane enjoyed a successful partnership with Abdelhafiz.
In total, the 59-year-old led the record champions to six trophies, including back-to-back CAF Champions League titles.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns manager was praised by Abdelhafiz and a trait that sets him apart was highlighted.
According to Abdelhafiz, Mosimane is simply world-class.
As a result of his football knowledge and how he managed games, I really enjoyed working with him.
“He won the Champions League twice with two different clubs. The majority of managers will likely win a trophy with Al Ahly.
Even so, winning two Champions League titles and narrowly missing out on the third, albeit under controversial circumstances, is still a remarkable achievement.
Usually, he managed clubs for five or six years and he was only here for two years, but he was excellent.
Mosimane was a genius when it came to managing big games," he said.
