Football is so unpredictable. A former Mamelodi Sundowns star is determined to buy Maritzburg United from Farouk Kadodia.

Sundowns Moon

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana player Bryce Moon is interested in buying his former club Maritzburg United.

MARITZBURG UNITED TO BE BOUGHT BY BRYCE MOON?
Maritzburg United narrowly missed qualifying for the PSL/MFC Promotional-Relegation Play-Offs. Former Sundowns defender Bryce Moon wants to buy the club.

"If I'm given the chance, I want to be the David Beckham of South Africa," Moon told FARPost.

We are back in those discussions now with Maritzburg United, and we will see what happens in the next two weeks. I want to own that team myself," he concluded.

THE MALEBOGO MODISE IS GOING BACK TO MAMELODI SUNDOWNS FROM CHIPPA UNITED

There will be a few new faces at Mamelodi Sundowns next season, so it won't be brand new. Malebogo Modise is returning after a loan spell with Chippa United.

Once known as "Bale," Modise has loaned to JRD Stars, Maritzburg United and Chippa United since joining Kabo Yellow at junior level.

After a successful loan season with the Chilli Boys in Gqeberha, Modise will return to Sundowns.

Malebogo Modise, who was on loan at Chippa United for a season, will return to Mamelodi Sundowns, according to the report.

Modise's contract at Sundowns expires on June 30, but United are reportedly keen on retaining him for another season, having put in a great shift during his brief stint at Gqeberha.

Having international trio Terrence Mashego, Aubrey Modiba, and Abdelmounain Boutouil in that position, the ever-hardworking left-back may be set for an extended stay at Chippa," the report noted.

MOKOENA TO LEAVE SUNDOWNS?

The DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns may lose a clutch player, Teboho Mokoena, before next season.

In a report posted on iDiski Times, two-time Qatari champions Al-Wakrah are interested in signing Sundowns defender Mokoena. Kabo Yellow's asking price has somewhat jeopardized the deal.

Al-Wakrah have expressed interest in Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena, who has been linked to several clubs over the past two seasons as he has emerged as one of the top performers for club and country.

“He starred with Bafana Bafana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and was included in the Team of the Tournament, which drew attention from Egyptian giants Al Ahly and in England, according to media reports,” the report said. Mokoena, who was born in Bethlehem, is currently being enticed by Sundowns with a new contract.

HUGO BROOS: TEBOHO MOKOENA IS READY FOR EUROPE

Hugo Broos recently discussed Mokoena's possible move out of Mzansi.

According to the Citizen, Broos said: "Maybe Sundowns won't be happy now, but I hope Mokwena will take the steps because he's ready."

I sometimes ask myself, what will this one do in Europe? But Teboho is ready. And maybe others as well.

Also, Mokoena's Sundowns teammate Lucas Ribeiro believes the former SuperSport United star deserves to go abroad.

It's surprising to me that Tebza has so many attributes and qualities, strong physical presence, the ability to score outside the box, the ability to shoot and the ability to run. As a midfielder, he has all the qualities one can expect. Ribeiro explained via SABC Sport that he still finds it surprising that he's my teammate in South Africa because players of that quality are usually found in the top European clubs.

In response to my question about him staying focused on Sundowns or perhaps being distracted by other offers, he said he was going to focus on the last two games of the league, as well as the final. That's where his mind is, but God makes the final decision. According to the Brazilian attacker, his mind and everything are directed towards Sundowns.
