A recap of the club’s business so far.

Kaizer Chiefs Dortley

With just over two weeks left in the transfer window, Kaizer Chiefs have re-signed Njabulo Blom, bringing their tally of new players to seven.

Rushwin Dortley headlines big Kaizer Chiefs arrivals 22-year-old Rushwin Dortley is the most expensive recruit so far. He is expected to make his international debut this week after signing for R10 million. The only Chiefs player on the squad for Afcon qualifiers against Uganda on 05 September and South Sudan on the 10th is Dortley. Dortley's inclusion for Bafana before he's kicked a competitive ball for Chiefs demonstrates his high regard.

Transfer recap

There have been two new central defenders at the club, Dortley and Inacio Miguel, as well as Bongani Sam and Bradley Cross at the left-back position. Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari joins the team, while Gaston Sirino adds experience and quality to the final third. With Cross' R3 million arrival, Chiefs' expenditure has reportedly topped R30 million. Finally, Njabulo Blom, a 24-year-old midfield general, has returned to Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs welcome back Blom

The Chiefs have brought Njabulo Blom back to Naturena on loan for the 2024-2025 season. Blom has been in the MLS since the end of 2022.

The team is excited to welcome Njabulo back to the team. His experience in the MLS and familiarity with our Club ethos make him a valuable addition to our squad. We look forward to seeing his impact on the field."

Kaizer Chiefs

Last season, Chiefs faced significant challenges in scoring goals, only managing to find the back of the net 25 times in 30 league matches. However, Nabi's team's priority is to establish a strong defense. The arrival of new 24-year-old goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, who cost R5.5 million, will provide competition for Bruce Bvuma for the starting spot. In addition, R4 million signing Bongani Sam will fill the gap left by Sifiso Hlanti's departure and compete with Bradley Cross, a former Newcastle youth player who joined from Golden Arrows for R3.5 million. In the center, Dortley and Ditlhokwe will both vie for a place in the starting lineup on the left side of central defense. As they say, you can never have too many talented players. So far, the only attacking signing is 33-year-old Gaston Sirino who joins on a free transfer after achieving success with Sundowns.
