After France lost to Italy, Kylian Mbappe was reportedly stunned by one of his teammates who went on a rant in the dressing room.

On Friday night, the two-time World Cup winners lost 3-1 to the Azzurri in the UEFA Nations League.

In the dressing room after the match, France goalkeeper Mike Maignan screamed at his teammates for their performance, according to L'Equipe.

Italy came back into the game after France took the lead after 13 seconds due to a lack of desire and aggression from the shot-stopper.

Antoine Griezmann and captain Mbappe both remained silent after Maignan's rant, according to the report.

After the game, reporters asked Maignan about the rant, but he declined to comment.

Goal reports that he said, "What we say in the locker room stays between us.".

We lost to a big team that defended well together. We need to move on. You can't keep a clean sheet in every match.

There's no need to worry. When you lose a match, it's not the end of the world. We'll discuss it [on Saturday].

Our team has to do better, this French team has to win. We won't make excuses, we'll question ourselves and move forward."
