It was a pre-season friendly, and I was a youngster among stars like Andries Mpondo, Goodman Hlongwane, Joseph Rapelego, and Eric Ramasike.

At the airport, I kept asking how long this thing would be in the air. I was nervous.

In response, they said, "Hey man, go in there and take a nap. We'll wake you up as soon as we land.".

My man, it was a long flight. You should have seen me when the flight took off, I was shaking, man. I almost cried, asking myself why I agreed to this.

As I looked around, I noticed that people were relaxing. I wanted to take a nap, but ubuthongo abufiki. I didn't want to sleep myself to death.

Manje, the windows of that thing are too small, manje, I want to peek in the window. I'm scared to even look out. I'm shaking. At least if that thing has normal windows like a house, at least I can look outside.

Upon landing in Ivory Coast, I was so relieved, but unfortunately, we couldn't play because their head of state had passed away.

The date of our flight back home had to be moved forward. My stress returned immediately. Again, must I travel inside that thing? I asked myself.

We are used to traveling by taxis, buses, and trains, so I almost asked the Swallows coaches to put me on a bus."Naughty Mokoena
