As Stellensboch loses two more players - this time to overseas moves - the exodus continues this weekend.

Having lost top scorer Iqraam Rayners and captain Dean van Rooyen to Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, Stellenbosch have now lost Ivorian attacker Anicet Oura to Qatar and Antonio van Wyk to Austria.

On Thursday, Oura begins a new league season with Muaither in Qatar. They are based in Doha and play in the second division.

🚨 Anicet Oura joins Muaither SC on a loan deal until June 2025 from Stellenbosch FC. Oura has two years left on his Stellenbosch FC contract. The full story is here: 🔗 https://t.co/HKAkCxT0B2 | #iDiskiTimes 🗞 pic.twitter.com/oYdZlqU3Eh

With SV Ried, Van Wyk will resume his relationship with Moritz Kossmann, who he first worked with at Ubuntu Cape Town.

Currently, Ried are top of the Austrian second division with a 100 percent record.

The profile of Antonio van Wyk exactly matches what we were seeking. He has a lot of depth and also has great strengths between the lines. We asked Moritz Kossmann, our assistant coach, to give us precise information about Toni's personality and how he fits in with us, and he really wanted to come to Europe. The club's sport director Wolfgang Fiala explained that Toni will certainly need time to adjust to things.

The departure of Van Wyk, who graduated from Stellenbosch's development structures after signing from Ubuntu FC's academy, symbolizes the Club's commitment to developing local talent and providing them with the opportunity to shine on the biggest stages.

Coach Steve Barker said weeks ago that he hoped to keep intact his squad from last season.

The club won the Carling Knockout last season, finished third in the league and qualified for African club competition for the first time.

However, the lure of moving to a better supported and more established team, or overseas, proved stronger, with Fawaaz Basadien still possibly heading to Chiefs and Ismael Toure also considering an international move.

There is still time to transfer in South Africa.
