Rodrygo has expressed his feelings about being omitted from the latest nominees of the Ballon dOr.

Real Madrid's star attacker has now broken his silence over not making the shortlist for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

In the 2023/24 season, Rodrygo Goes scored 17 goals and provided nine assists for Los Blancos, helping them win the LALIGA and the UEFA Champions League.

However, his pivotal role in achieving this domestic and continental success has not been recognized by a Ballon d'Or nomination.

Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, Federico Valverde, and the recently retired Toni Kroos were all included, with the Osasco native apparently unhappy about his omission.

Rodrygo told ESPN that he was upset and thought he deserved it.

It is not my intention to belittle the players who are there, but I think I should have made the 30.

"It's a surprise... But I can't do much because I'm not the one who makes these decisions."

When the nominees for the various Ballon d'Or awards were announced and he was excluded, the 28-cap Brazil international posted a series of photos to social media showing him lifting the trophies he won with Los Blancos last season, and he revealed this was an intentional move.

Rodrygo continued, "I made a mocking post.".

It's not much to say right now. Everyone knows my anger. Everyone has supported me, both in the national team and at Real Madrid.
