Former SuperSport United defender Ronald Pfumbidzai has revealed why he snubbed advances by two PSL clubs before settling for Zimbabwe's first division

Pfumbidzai spoke to FARPost about what made him turn down PSL clubs' advances.

“There were offers on the table, but they were similar to what Scottland was offering me back home.

Despite not being my area of expertise, I know there are a few clubs interested in my services. However, I have yet to receive my permanent residency papers. Those clubs wanted a local player, not a foreigner.

“There was a problem with the foreign quota. The clubs that wanted my services needed a local. Unfortunately, my papers had not been completed yet.

“I applied in January expecting to receive them in May, but I only received the confirmation the day before I was scheduled to sign for my current club.

"So I signed a short-term contract with Scottland, which ends in December. I hope we will have helped the team get promoted," Pfumbidzai said.
