Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has opened up about his new role as the Senior Academy Coach at the club, saying he is happy to serve the institution in any capacity.

Amakhosi were unable to win any silverware during Zwane's tenure as first team coach in 2022/23.

Last season, it wasn't clear what Zwane's role was at the club, but management has since announced that he will work in development.

As part of the Chiefs legends who participated in the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Legacy Cup this past weekend, Zwane said he feels blessed and grateful for whatever position he holds.

According to Ayanda Nyuswa, Zwane told media in KZN, "for me to be on top and come back is still a big opportunity."

As a member of Kaizer Chiefs, no matter what your role is, you are expected to perform at the highest level all the time and give everything you have.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether I'm in the first team or development, as long as I do what I love. A lot of people are working and doing work they hate.

For me, I feel blessed by my ancestors and God. That's why I even encourage people to know where they come from because it's important. Before you can conquer the world, you must pray and honor your ancestors.

For me to be on top and come back is still a big opportunity," Zwane told media in KZN, according to Ayanda Nyuswa.

The fact is that when you are part of Kaizer Chiefs you are expected to perform at your highest level all the time and to give your absolute best effort.

To me, it doesn't matter whether I'm in the first team or development, as long as I do what I love, because a lot of people are working and doing work they don't enjoy."

"So for me, I feel blessed by God and my ancestors and I appreciate it. That's why I encourage people to know where they come from. Before you can conquer the world, you must pray and honor your ancestors.
