England captain Harry Kane says Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 901st career goal on Sunday, is an inspiration, as he aims to add to his 66 goals for the country.
As he prepares for his 100th cap, Harry Kane is inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo's relentless goal-scoring.
On Tuesday night at Wembley, Kane will reach 100 appearances for England against Finland in the Nations League.
While Kane received criticism during this summer's Euros for his performance for the national team, the Bayern Munich striker believes Ronaldo - who scored his 901st career goal against Scotland on Sunday night - proves he will be able to continue playing and scoring at the highest level for many years to come.
It inspires me to play for as long as possible. Watching [Cristiano] Ronaldo score his 901st goal aged 39 inspires me to play for as long as possible. The greatest part of my life is representing England, and I don't want it to end soon.
Who knows how many caps or goals I can get, but I'm hungry for more."
"[Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi were people I looked up to growing up, they were in their prime when I was in my teens."
"Both of them were inspirations to me. To be hungry and desire and determined and to prove people wrong and to prove to yourself you can be the best you can be...
In order to motivate me, I use a variety of players. To score over 900 goals in your career is an exceptional record, and to play as long as he has is a real inspiration.
As Kane pointed out in the press conference, Ronaldo remains a striker, not a player who has dropped deep with age.
Kane said it depends on circumstances, managers, and systems.

"I've always been a player who can play high or drop deep. I have enough all-around ability to be effective in both situations."
In my opinion, it is about improving with Bayern with the new coach, a lot of high-intensity pressing and high-pressure situations without the ball, which is making me a better player. "It's becoming more and more man-to-man pressure in football, and you have to be able to handle it."
Kane to join 100 club of England greats
The first player since Wayne Rooney a decade ago to reach 100 England caps will be Kane.
Shilton, the only goalkeeper on the list, won 125 caps, five behind Rooney.
There were 115 and 114 appearances by David Beckham and Steven Gerrard, respectively, and 108 appearances by Bobby Moore, who won the World Cup.
The other centurions are Ashley Cole, Sir Bobby Charlton, Frank Lampard, and Billy Wright.
With Gareth Southgate as manager, Kane captained England 72 times and played 81 games, 16 under Roy Hodgson, and one each under Sam Allardyce and Lee Carsley, the current interim manager.
