Rob Dorsett, senior reporter for Sky Sports News:

In their attempts to persuade Newcastle to let Kieran Trippier leave, four Turkish clubs have given up.

Three days remain until the Turkish transfer window closes.

It has been made clear to Istanbul Basaksehir, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupsor that Eddie Howe wants to keep the defender at Newcastle.

So far this season, the 33-year-old has played just over 30 minutes of Premier League football.

Isak talks revealed by Elanga amid Newcastle interest

Anthony Elanga admits he spoke to Alexander Isak about a Newcastle move after a late Deadline Day deal fell through.

In the final week of the summer window, Newcastle explored a late deal for Elanga, but Forest rejected the offer, indicating that they would not sell the Swedish winger.

While on international duty, Elanga told Swedish outlet Fotbol Skanalen: "The environment in Nottingham is good. I am doing well when a big club shows interest in me.

"But Nottingham is a big club as well, they've won two Champions Leagues, even though I wasn't born then. But I'm happy in Nottingham and have a contract there."

I'm focusing on Nottingham and hope to have a successful season, then we'll see what happens.

We have a good relationship and good chemistry when we play together, but I have a contract with Nottingham."
