From September 11-29, Sky Sports will broadcast England's eight white-ball matches against Australia - three T20s and five ODIs

Since last summer's Ashes series, the Aussies are back in England for the first time.

You know, that one where Jonny Bairstow was controversially stumped, Stuart Broad told Alex Carey that moment was all he would ever be remembered for, MCC members clashed with Australian players in the Lord's Long Room, and the rain scuppered England's hopes of regaining the precious urn.

Which players are in England's squads?

A calf injury will keep Jos Buttler out of the T20 series - he is also a doubt for the ODIs - so Phil Salt will captain England in the shortest format.

McCullum strongly supports Buttler as 'England's best ever white ball player'

In Jos Buttler's position as England's white-ball skipper, Brendon McCullum is 'very confident' and wants him to enjoy himself.

Dan Mousley and Jacob Bethell, both left-handed batters who bowl spin, could make their international debuts alongside uncapped Essex batter Jordan Cox and Hampshire fast bowler John Turner.

This summer, Gus Atkinson has been impressive for England in Test cricket, especially at Lord's

After the conclusion of the Sri Lanka series, England's ODI squad will be bolstered by the arrival of Test players Harry Brook, Ben Duckett and Jamie Smith, as well as Olly Stone and Matthew Potts.

Although Stone was not initially included in the ODI group, he has been drafted in to replace Gus Atkinson, who was rested after playing all six England Tests this summer.

In the first Test against the West Indies at Lord's, Atkinson took 34 wickets at an average of 20.17, while Stone took seven wickets at 29.42 in the last two Tests against Sri Lanka.

If Buttler also misses the 50-over matches, Brook seems the most likely candidate to captain.

The England ODI squad includes Jos Buttler (captain, Lancashire), Jofra Archer (Sussex), Jacob Bethell (Warwickshire), Harry Brook (Yorkshire), Brydon Carse (Durham), Jordan Cox (Essex), Ben Duckett (Nottinghamshire), Josh Hull (Leicestershire), Will Jacks (Surrey), Matthew Potts (Durham), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Phil Salt (Lancashire), Jamie Smith (Surrey), Olly Stone (Nottinghamshire), Reece Topley (Surrey), John Turner (Hampshire).

Bairstow and Moeen Ali were left out of both squads, with the latter retiring from international cricket.

How about the Australian squads?

Having rested Cummins for both series, Mitchell Marsh will also captain Australia's 50-over side. David Warner, who quit international cricket after this year's T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and USA, will not play for Australia.

The hard-hitting Jake Fraser-McGurk has replaced Warner in the T20 group, which also includes spin-bowling all-rounder Cooper Connolly.

Carey is in Australia's ODI squad, so he might get an interesting reaction from English crowds if he plays in the 50-over series, which begins at Trent Bridge on September 19 and ends in Bristol on September 29.

In this summer's T20 World Cup, England were defeated by Australia by 36 runs in Barbados

Australia won the first group stage of the T20 World Cup by 36 runs in June.

In Barbados, Warner and opening partner Travis Head smashed 70 runs in five overs as Australia posted 201-7, while England could only score 166-5.

England meet Australia in three T20 internationals and five one-day internationals this September on Sky Sports Cricket. The first T20 takes place in Southampton on Wednesday at 6pm ahead of the first ball at 6.30pm.
