As a former rugby union player, Louis Rees-Zammit is determined to make his NFL dream a reality by joining Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad after failing to make the Kansas City Chiefs' 53-player roster. He has switched from running back to receiver.
Louis Rees-Zammit says he is "determined to make his NFL dream a reality" by forging his way into the Jacksonville Jaguars team.
After failing to make the 53-player roster for the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, Rees-Zammit joined the Jaguars' practice squad.
After training with the Chiefs as a running back during the preseason, the 23-year-old is now playing receiver, a position he believes he can excel at.
"It's pretty challenging. The first game I played was just a month ago. I can feel that, but this is my dream," Rees-Zammit said.
I am determined to make this dream a reality and get on this team. That is everyone's goal: to get into the 53, and I will continue to study.
Since I've changed teams and playbooks, that's probably the most important thing right now. I need to learn it as quickly as possible to stand a chance."
