The £500k jackpot was won by Judd Trump in Saudi Arabia; Ronnie O'Sullivan lost in the quarter-finals to Si Jiahui, who lost to Williams in the semi-finals. Trump beat Williams 10-9 in the final.
As a result of a dramatic final frame victory, Judd Trump is the inaugural Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters champion
Judd Trump produced a nerveless clearance in the deciding frame to beat Mark Williams 10-9 and win the inaugural Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters.
Despite a break of 62, Williams missed a mid-range red in the decider, allowing Trump to step in with a brilliant 72 and win the £500,000 first prize.
After falling 4-0 to Wu Yize in his first match of the tournament, Trump checked home, but has now won 15 of the 16 matches he has played. "I'm shocked," Trump told Eurosport. Mark was much better than me. He was making breaks despite the table playing tricky. I didn't deserve to win.
It won't mean anything to him, but I found something at the end. I stopped breathing for five minutes of that frame, but I got over the line."
Williams, 49, said: "It was a fantastic game. We didn't play well at the beginning, but towards the end we were fantastic."
